It was such a small moment in the film, but not only did the judge ignore the "no less than $25,000 bail recommendation, he also shot her a smile and had an air of courtesy to her.
Eh I don't know what 'phallocentric' means, but NO GIRLS!

You could certainly get that impression. I'm guessing Jackie was different compared to most of the defendants that came in for arraignment.

I think it was an inside joke for genre fans. Sid Haig (the actor who played the judge) was in a lot of movies with Pam Grier (Jackie) back in the day. My two cents.
