the ending pretty much confirmed my suspicion that it's a celebration of pedophile relations.
the guy character resisted it all the way, but it's clear the girl will grow up to be some kind of prostitute. she shows anti-social character traits, precursor to criminal behavior.
the guy had to run away. she's the kind of person that would have killed him eventually. i bet the director masturbated in delight at this grotesque, albeit realistic depiction of childhood delinquency. gross movie. -

Call me ignoramus, but what you wrote makes no sense at all. Some clarification in place of your paedo-phobic suggestions would be immensely appreciated, especially of the second line beginning "the guy". Sorry, mate, but I'm having a difficult time wrapping my mind round that one, because of its obvious syntactic incorrectness (observe the use of the word "but" in the sentence). "But" is a word in English language used to imply opposition or contrast. I wonder what is opposed/contrasted to what in this sentence?
Also, what is "it" that he had resisted? The way I understand it, it either means that the girl tried to seduce him or he was having a helluva time restraining his "urges". I cannot find no other way of interpreting it. What you are suggesting is preposterous and insulting, because it presumes every man being a paedophile. What he really resisted was delving into any deeper relationship with the girl because of her social status, don't you think?
Furthermore, what "kind of prostitute" can she grow up into? Can there be more than one kind? o.O
As of her "anti-social character traits" they all stem from her dissent from the small communitys values and expectations, which is what this film is all about. You would have known this if you had watched the film, of course.
And what the heck is supposed to mean "she's the kind of person" in the last paragraph? Sounds like she's the baddie in the film, right? He had to run away because of her "character traits"? Is that what you, in your sardonic mind, think of all the other children?
I wish I could say more, but I have already wasted too much of my time and taken up too much of this site's space for comment that does not deserve one bit of a mindful consideration. I may only add two things: a) get your head sorted, matey and b) get out more.

Yes. An adult male can never, ever have a relationship with a young female purely based on friendship in your twisted mind. And that is the point of the film. It outs people like you.
God forbid should anyone ever be anti-social. You make it sound like society is actually functional and admirable. Weird..
