I got one!
An awfully big adventure(1995)
"In Liverpool in 1947, a theatre company is planning to produce a series of plays. Sixteen year old Stella, who lives with her aunt and uncle, and who has regular and mysterious phone-calls to her mother, joins the crew as an unpaid student. As the director assembles his cast and rehearses them through a series of plays, various sexual and emotional intrigues occurring backstage weave themselves into a finale of both triumph and tragedy."
"She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock.
She was Lola in slacks. She was Dolly at school. She was Dolores on
the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Lolita. Light of my life,
fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lolita" -

Hot Spot (1990). 37-40 year old Harry Madox(41 year old Don Johnson) arrives in a small southersn town intending to stay only as long as it takes to earn enough money to move on. He takes a job as a used car salesman were he meets the bosses sexy and very bitchy wife Dolly(30 year old Virginia Madsen).Harry isn't the most moral guy around and he immediatly begins sleeping with Dolly. The receptionist of the car lot is lovely 19 year old Gloria (played by 20 year old Jennifer Connelly). Gloria is sweet, innocent, and the all-American girl-next-door. Harry falls into deep, genuine love with Gloria but Dolly isn't willing to be cast aside without making life very difficult for both Harry and Gloria. Murder, blackmail, embezzlement, and bank robbery arise from the situation and Harry finds himself in a position that will prove very difficult to escape from.
This is a very enjoyable, entertaining film with a twist ending reminiscent of thrillers from the 1940's era. -

Okay I was recently reading a plot description for a movie a few months back, and I can't seem to find it again. Maybe someone can help me out here.
It goes something like this: A woman meets a man and he starts to live with her and her daughter. Her daughter does not approve of this, and resents his presence, but then she starts to fall in love with him.
When I read this, I was like, "Oh My God, I HAVE to see this!" but stupidly, I didn't write the movie down.
