Could be, but probably not. I think it's you, for calling people dumb because they manage to find truth and beauty in a movie you can't.

Not me. I agree this movie really defines taste or divides opinion's. I thought it was a really crappy movie, to the point I just wanted to leave the theater after fifteen minutes. Of course I don't believe in life after death so the whole plot seems to me ridiculous and the idea of Death falling in love even more, is like believing Santa really lives in the north pole; but I have a good friend that really enjoyed it, and well that only shows why we don't bore each other, we really have different opinion's and tastesand that only shows we are humans. Although, of course, I'm right and he is childish, hahahaha.

@despistao. If you can only enjoy movies that are without the fantasy of make believe or believing in the unbelievable then just how many movies do you exactly enjoy? Come to think of it, how many movies will you now not enjoy that you did before, now that your stupidity has been pointed out to you?

Rambo series are for semi-intelligent boys who do not know for better world than the one they see on TV. I have watched this film, from the beginning till the end, I fell asleep once, for a second, I was hoping something will happen which will make me think I haven't ruined 3 hours of my life in the most awful way. everlast-7, if you wanted to point out that this movie is for intelligent audience, I suggest your parents to return you to kindergarten, where you and your "intelligent" audience can enjoy craps like this.
By far the worst movie I have ever seen! So much worse than Rambo, xXx and such films.

Yeah, I know when I've lost. I'll just return to kindergarten so me & my intelligent audience can enjoy craps like this. And I also do not know for better world than the one I see on TV.

Yeah, when I read kkatalizator's no-doubt intricately drawn thoughts, I had this mental picture of a cartoon figure going "nyah nyah, I know you are but what am I." I'm going to reconcile myself that kkatalizator is playing us. To do otherwise would be to invite feelings of despair.

I'm a male, and I'm not ashamed to say that this is one of my favorite movies ever. Maybe Top 10 even. Even though "everlast-7's" response may have been a bit rash, it sometimes takes a certain person/personality to appreciate/enjoy a certain movie.
Evidently movies with a romantic subplot are not your slice. No worries, that's why the word "opinion" appears in the dictionary. To each his/her own. I thoroughly enjoy Meet Joe Black each time I watch it, and I'm not gay not that there's anything wrong with that.

I agree. People often say this movie is "boring" but I love it, and I can't even put my finger on it. It just has something.
No, there's no action. But it's full of things unsaid, communication through awkward pauses. It's really something.
Films are supposed to "show, not tell". Few other films can pull off an emotional story like this one without resorting to melodrama.

I have heard the same thing many times. People get bored with much of this movie. But, the dialogue pulls me in every time. Sometimes the most beautiful moments in a film are when it doesn't require an action to have a meaning. Wes Anderson films are a good representation of this style. Eye movements and little gestures are a huge thing that good actors put to great use and you see much of this coming from Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins in this film. I feel like the script is wonderful and that the actors did great. I am a guy that loves action films, but this is one of my favorite films. The scene when Anthony Hopkins talks about his wife and the cold lamb sandwich is one of the most moving and interesting scenes ever.

I enjoyed the film, and I too am a guy. I had some problems with the length of it, and yes, the ending was somewhat trite- but, what the hell? I watched it (yes with a snuggled up female friend)last night and found it time well spent.
