      I was born in 2001, so I don't feel old when hearing about the 1990s.
      But however, there are a lot of middle schoolers (grades 5-6) who were born in 2010 and 2011 now. Now that makes me feel old. I remember when the early 2000s were in middle school like it was yesterday.

              Kids born after 2000 missed out the layers of 1960s 1970s 1980s and 1990s. Each decade is like shiny color with its own story.
              Each year after 2000 is one of the same - there is no difference. The music is the same, fashion is the same, media is the same: gray and boring.
