I love this scene. The way she intuits the situation and who is and the way he has an instant rapport with her. It really captures the heart of the film.

I totally agree. But I wonder how she could see who he was when others didn't/couldn't.

This scene and the second of her scenes are two of the most important for me. I love the whole movie, but without these illuminating scenes I'm not sure i'd feel the same way.
"If you're lucky, you got some good pictures to take with you". Incredible.

Those scene were so well done. She understood exactly what was going on. It was so moving! She even spelled it out to Joe.
