I like this movie, but it can even be better if it's not too long, one scene that can be removed is the one in the Hospital with the old Jamaican lady dying, and Death is by her side, it has little importance with his mission with the 'Parrish'. Nevertheless still a classical movie that you like to watch all over again..

It's amazing that a scene that one person thinks is the most important another person can say is the most expendable. Fascinating.
That scene didn't directly impact the "Parish story" but it had a HUGE impact on the "Death story".
