    Looks nothing like what Kate Winslet will likely look like at that age. Her acting is ****. I just don't buy it.

        Undeserved.
        A lot of those old American movies had bad acting. The Transatlantic accent didn't help.

            Pre-Hays Code films were good. Then mostly foreign films were great until at least the 60's, but US films really got good in the 70's. Both blockbusters and more poignant films were at their peak in the US.
