Why did Tom cruise and Nicole agree to this?

He was in Vanilla Sky, better than Eyes Wide Shut
To each his own, but I found that movie insufferable. Except for Cameron Diaz. Her psycho GF turn scared the **** out of me.

because it reminded them a lot of a Scientology Halloween party they attended?
As for her getting felt up, I've read she used to run it in him with a strap on. He was probably glad to have another guy run interference for him for a little while. -

we get to see more than required and unnecessary gratuitous ass and tits shot of Nicole
There is no such thing as too much naked Nicole Kidman, particularly the way she looked back then. One thing I love about her is that she's an A list actress who never had a problem with nudity.

Wives are not property and she doesn't nor did not need his or anyone else's permission to do anything. She's a beautiful woman who has body confidence and I'm sure Tom was proud of that too and was happy to show the world that beauty.
Plus she's a professional and does wherever the role may require of her. In this case it required some nudity and sex scenes. That's it, it's her job to make us believe something which isn't real and there's nothing lewd or seedy about it. If you seriously think otherwise then she's obviously done her job very well. -

Tom needs scientology's permission to do anything in his life.
Do you think it's a coincidence that they ended their sham marriage not long after this film? The film is about a woman 'opening her eyes' ala the film poster and a man taking a deep and meaningful journey and learning/doing nothing. Nicole got the hell out of the scientology trap and Tom stuck his head further in.
Consider how Cruise treated his next wife and child..who ended up doing the same Scientology escape trick.

Wasn't Nicole his wife at that time and we get to see more than required and unnecessary gratuitous ass and tits shot of Nicole and moreover porno of the naval officer beep her, putting his hands between her legs and squeezing her tits. (they didn't use a double here for sure)
or is it the Murican culture where husbands are fine with their wives being a public urinal where any man can come and take a dip?
I guess you haven't seen many films and, therefore, don't understand what it is that actors do for a living - or "Murican" culture for that matter. -

A filmmaker whom curiously went out of his way to accommodate Cruise's "no nudity" clause (the mirror scene where Nicole is nude with bum hanging out obviously pans up and closer to ensure the second Cruise enters the frame he's not exposed) yet clearly felt at 100% liberty to film Nicole in any way he wanted.

It ties into the topic:
Tom: he's showing off his hot wife. He seems clearly at home except in the scenes where his character is supposed to look uncomfortable.
Nicole: most likely is doing it just to build her acting cred (which we now know paid off). Must've been pretty uncomfortable for her (she's clearly uncomfortable in most scenes, maybe the character's meant to look like that or Nicole simply couldn't hide it enough). -

What an idiotic comment. You are an Indian; so am I so don't take offence against "westerners" when I say Indian culture needs to have a hard look at itself. There is nothing wrong with nudity in any aspect and especially when concerning art. Had it been unnecessary shots to titillate the audience I might consider your point. In fact when EYS released most reviewers stated something similar: "We wanted sex and got boring Kubrickian fantasy instead whereas that was the WHOLE point of Kubrick(among other things).that we as a society have become so enamored with sex and nudity.
Besides Kubrick was a living legend back then and no sane actress would have passed on the honor of having his stamp on their resume. I'd have gladly pimped myself and my wife(with her consent of course). -

It is when the husband is gayer than a pastel rainbow.
I almost forgot to ask where it is that you come from where people take dips in urinals? Round here, we just pee in em and flush em. No immersion necessary.
