This one and also the 2014 film. S*ck it. To the people who say they're "offended" by this movie and the look of Big G, I can tell you're not fun to hang out with. And I fart in your general direction.

I'm not aggressive with this movie and admit that I liked it when I was younger. I like to respect the fact that this movie has garnered a reasonably sized fanbase and understand if many of them prefer this movie to the Original movies, or like this Godzilla more so than the Original because they simply cannot find an appeal with the Original's design or character.
Of course I'm not perfect and I do hate it when the fans of 1998 like to proclaim that this version is better than the original Godzilla(I'm really using that word a lot).
I mean, you can understand how you have a character that has become so popular and loved that it became what is arguably one of the most popular icons in movie media, but then you have some saying "beep all of that beep here is a new and improved Godzilla! You should all love this one because it's better and more realistic than some guy in a fat suit!"
Anyways rant aside I'm.mostly okay with 1998. Y'know atleast you won't have me persecuting anyone who likes this movie like the more hardcore fanboys.

I REALLY liked this movie! How can this movie be considered a "failure", when it made 3x it's budget? I even like THIS Godzilla better'n the original! I've always thought the "original" Japanese "Godzilla" looked kinda corny this movie gave a realistic take on "radiation" effecting animal life in drastic ways and how we would have to deal with the aftermath

I also like both. I like this one better, but I also saw the 2014 film in theaters and appreciated and liked it too

Agreed. I love this version and the 2014 version. And naturally all the older films as well. I guess I'm just easy to please when it comes to Godzilla haha.
