1. If John Coffey was illiterate, how would he know that the spelling of his name and the spelling of "coffee" differ? Was he just parroting what he'd heard others say?
2. Why does the older Paul say to Elaine at the end "Our having had a grown son. You're right; the math's off". Why is the math off?
