Real Love can cure…

Somewhere in the Movie, Steven says to Anne that he believes Real Love could cure his "illness". At least that's what he thinks.
This is just too tragic. What it would mean is that if he fed on a woman who loves him deeply and still does while he bites her one that isn't afraid at any rate, one that sacrifices herself then all of this could be over. He would not need to kill more people
I really would like to have Steven explaining to me why he
has
to kill. Say, he finds a woman who really loves and trusts him and knows about his "little secret". If he could just drink a little of her blood and emotions, both of them could live.
It doesn't seem that easy, though. He might have tried that.
Sounds so catchy!

He probably HAD to kill because just "a little" blood can't be enough for him to survive: he needs it all. It's like when you're starving & someone throws you a crumb of bread, it numbs the gnawing in your stomach for a little while then it starts over. If you are starving you really need to feed, not to numb your hunger for short periods!
That real love could have cured him I sort of doubt. Sounds pretty much like a nice fairy tale, but he was supposed to be living in the real world.

Still, I don't understand what you mean! You said "how sad it would be, if Anne's blood doesn't help", but they didn't really get to that point in the movie! What did you try to say? That they shouldn't have got to that point anyway just in case drinking Anne's blood didn't help or ?!
