Mr. Mackey's voice sounded off in the episode, though.

I didn't realize it has been on that long. I haven't watched in over a decade. Do people like it as much as they used to?

I assume it's not as popular as it used to be. The new episode was better than the last couple seasons of Randy and "Tegridy Farms," though.

I watched an episode for the first time in years about a year ago. That Tegridy Farms stuff seemed like a mess. Had a tomacco feel.

I don't think it would've been as bad if it hadn't gone on so long. There was too much of it and it wasn't that funny.

Yes! I was going to ask on one of these forums if Mr Mackey was being voiced by a different actor.

I figured it was still Trey and he just forgot how to do the voice or it was some issue with the audio. I remember Barbrady's voice changed too a while back, but I think it sounded closer to the normal voice when the character appeared again later on.
I just looked up the Mackey's voice subject and there are actually articles about it, lol:
In "Pajama Day," however, Mr. Mackey's voice is notably deeper and a tad slower than it usually is, and fans definitely took notice. Many took to internet platforms like Twitter and Reddit in search of answers, though no official reasoning has been given for the change as of yet. While Mr. Mackey may sound different, one thing that hasn't changed is his voice actor — as of "Pajama Day," Trey Parker is still credited with the South Park role — a role he's now been playing for 25 years. As of the South Park: Post Covid special, the most recent South Park installment, Mr. Mackey's voice sounded as it usually does, causing fans to question the sudden change.
Theories surrounding the change have been circulating the internet since the episode aired. Some have attributed the change to a simple issue with sound mixing, as sleuths who have sped up the episode clip claim the edit brings his voice back to normal. While it isn't likely that the series would make an error like this, Mr. Mackey's appearance was only very brief, so a slip-up isn't impossible. Others worry Parker just might not be able to produce Mr. Mackey's voice anymore. This theory isn't outside the realm of possibility, as Parker has previously explained he had to alter Eric Cartman's voice due to the damage it was causing to his throat. After playing a role for so long — and even just voice acting for so long — it's possible that his voice has changed. Others yet theorize the change was intentional, either to signify the "seriousness" of the scene or because Mr. Mackey's voice changed due to catching COVID-19. However, these theories aren't very likely, as there is no evidence pointing to either scenario.
Whether or not Mr. Mackey's voice change is permanent remains to be seen, as only one episode of South Park season 25 has aired so far. The backlash the new voice received from fans may mean the new voice won't stick around for long, whether the change was intentional or a missed edit. Mr. Mackey's voice is a major part of his characterization and his humor, and without it, Mr. Mackey's brief appearance in South Park season 25 was lukewarm at best. Only future episodes of South Park will reveal if the change to Mr. Mackey will become permanent.

                  The season is already over!
                  Six episodes and that's it!

wtf? Is South Park British now? We’ll get 1 new season of 3 episodes every 5 years or something

                      lol. I know, it's ridiculous.
I didn't realize this isn't the first time they've only had six episodes in a season. This is from 2019:
Unlike prior seasons of the adult-animated comedy, South Park season 23 ended with a mere six episodes. In comparison to season 22 and 21 which consisted of ten, the switch came as a surprise to us.
And this was last season (how was this considered a season?):
The twenty-fourth season of the American animated sitcom series South Park began with "The Pandemic Special" which aired across multiple networks on September 30, 2020, and ended with South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid. Consisting of two extended-length episodes and two streaming films, it is South Park's shortest season.

Wow, that is amazing. I did not realize they had been on that long. I used to like watching it, but then it just got too gross and scatalogical. Mr. Hankey, a talking piece of poop. Gross.

You must not have watched for long. Mr. Hankey was in the 9th episode.

And that's one of the best episodes! Who can dislike Mr. Hankey? Howdy ho!

Actually, I watched for years, and Mr. Hankey was not the grossest thing they did. He's just an easy example to cite.

Fun fact, I tried coffee for the first time on the same day south parks first episode aired in 1997 ( in the UK ) I was like 9 years old, I spilled it, and the next day when i woke up everything stank of coffee.
