Easy for you to say - he wasn't elected YOUR President.
Sorry - this isn't a football game (or any other kind of game). This is the future of the US. There's a lot more riding on this than some money & a big ring. And there won't be a different winner next year.
I don't really care if you perceive me as whining & crying - I will NOT move on. I will continue to make sure Trump does not destroy my country. I will continue to call foul (another ball analogy lol) when I see him doing wrong.
I have another analogy for you - it's like getting raped & you want me to lay there, enjoy it, & keep my mouth shut. Not going to happen. -

Nobody is saying that the Baltimore Ravens were not Super Bowl Champions even though most stats for that game against San Francisco were not in their favour, but you are trying to say Donald Trump is not going to be your president. Whether you like it or not, he will be your president. It's time to stop whining and crying and move on. That's what 49er fans did.
You're trying to compare America's Presidential election to a football game? Are you serious?

Yes I am. Is that more far fetched than comparing your election to a rape attack? I don't think so and if you actually read the article you will notice how it talks about execution of the basics. Hillary's campaign was executed very poorly. She was basically phoning it in because she felt the presidency was hers for the taking without actually working for it or earning it. Try opening your mind just a little. You would likely be amazed at what you could learn. Get out of that bubble you live in and join us out in the real world.

The real world does not compare the Presidential election to a football game. Sorry; certainly can't learn anything from you and your 'trying to be intelligent' posts.
Stick to your one-line non-sequiturs - we don't learn much from those, either, but it will save your fingers some typing.

No idea what Mr. "I'm Not American" is saying, but I agree with your posts, pvd.
Imagine Trudeau beat Harper by 3 million votes but Harper got to stay in office because of a technicality. Then imagine it was found that Russia influenced the election in Harper's favor. Then imagine Harper was a sexual predator with no governing experience and had run a campaign based on vicious demagoguery. Then Mr. "I'm Not American" would have a faint glimmer of what we're dealing with. No, it's not a football game. No, America is not going to get over it. We're going to fight for our democracy. -

Almost half of America disagrees with you. Hillary knew the rules going in. The campaign would have been quite different if the election were based on popular vote. Here in Canada we have seats in the House of Commons. It is very similar to the electoral college. In the last election Justin Trudeau and the Liberals took 184 seats ? 54.4 per cent of the total of 338 seats ? with 39.5 per cent of the popular vote. That means 60.5 % of voters didn't vote Liberal. That means that they didn't want Trudeau. Do you see riots here? No. We accept it and move on and try to do what's bests for the country.

I'm American and Trump doesn't have a mandate.
24% Americans voted for Trump 26% voted for Hillary the other 48% eligible voters didn't vote.
Trump doesn't have half of the support of the public here the world needs to remember this.
I'm giving him the same respect he gave President Obama in 2008.
WHERE ARE YOUR TAX RETURNS Mr Trump? -

People who don't vote don't count.
Of course, that also means people from other countries who don't vote in our elections - yet have an awful lot to say about our government.

yet have an awful lot to say about our government.
That's the strange part. I can see people possibly interested in our Gov't, but I'm hard pressed to believe they would support Trump like this one does.
It takes a sick mind for someone to keep replying to your posts when you said they're on ignore. -

I don't support Trump. Yes, I think that he is better than Hillary, but he wouldn't be my choice for president. The reaction by the left is completely over the top and irrational. It's time to grow up and move on.

People who don't vote don't count.
Not a good argument. They are still people, and they still live in the U.S. and they still do not support him.
He got 62 mln votes.
75 mln did not vote for him.
Almost 100 mln did not vote at all.
So according to my calculation he was 13 mln shy of 25% of the vote.
And he got that with the help of Wiki leaks, Comey, voter suppression, and Russia. He's a waste, always has been, had a pile of money which allowed him to dictate and entertain himself w/ his guilty pleasures by using OPM to finance his opulent lifestyle. His life has been a well-guarded illusion where dishonesty, revenge, lack of honor, no character, greed, gluttony, pride, hate, anger, envy, lust, and sexual perversions. One dirty little secret after another.
The presidency (choke gag) will be settling scores thru vengeance, amassing huge amts of wealth thru access, lies and threats. -

People who don't vote don't count. If you can't be bothered to vote than you have absolutely no right to complain about the results.
Great quote mrbean! My wife makes the very same comment every election cycleeven if there is no hope in winning and/or our candidates are relatively poor, she always says 'vote-or else you got no right to complain'.
Why can't you wretched prey creatures understand that the Universe doesn't owe you anything!? -
pvd295 — 9 years ago(January 02, 2017 02:00 PM)
I didn't have the option of voting. Millions in your country did have that option, but didn't bother. See the difference?
I see the difference, but can't understand why you would have more of an interest in our government than those who had the option.

"More than half of Americans lack confidence in Donald Trumps ability to 'prevent major scandals,' 'handle an international crisis,' and 'use military force wisely' once he becomes president, according to a Gallup poll released Monday.
