liberals, all wrapped up in the pretentious and pompous "journalistic piece" by none other than Lena Dumbham.

I'm going to try articulate without venom the feelings this piece brought up in me. I am a white woman; I have been molested, I absolutely abhorred Mr. Trump's attitude regarding women, but I looked beyond that idiocy. I saw a man unencumbered by a political party, a PAC, a monetary obligation or any entanglements with repaying political favors. He spoke harshly, off the hip generally but honestly. It wasn't always favorable for him.
In contrast, when the Democrats spoke it usually was slick but snidely so. There was very little off the cuff other than a peek which gave us the "deplorables". There was more in the hidden security leak emails, often handled by the maid in HCs home. We were being oiled by someone who for years had learned to handle snakes That angered and offended me. When a woman wins the presidency, I want her to be someone with integrity and transparency. Not just a woman.
Ms. Dunham's piece probably would not have been written if she understood suffering. Losing a presidential race in comparison to battling cancer, giving birth to a disabled child and watching that child struggle, participating in a war where you watched your buddies being blown to bits; or fearing for your life daily, watching children starve to death; that is suffering. Bemoaning and weeping over a candidate's loss is laughable. Your life will go on as will HC's. If you have suffered and still have the temerity to write an insufferable piece such as this, you are indeed deplorable. I wish you well wherever you decide to relocate. We wouldn't want you to unduly suffer under the Trump administration.

        Well said nananow!!

yes, and that is why he was so much more real than the fabricated, calculating Clinton machine.

Well said! Every word of yours speaks of truth.

Did you see the thread on this board about people comparing the results of this election (Trump's win) to the events on 9/11, and how the mood of this country is exactly like it was on that day and the days following the tragedy of 9/11? I responded to pvd saying how incredibly insensitive and absurd and nasty she and the others were for even thinking about comparing the two. Seriously - how low can you go to even consider comparing the feelings of those after the loss of an election - which is
        their own choice
to be unhappy about - to a violent attack that killed thousands of our very own people on our very own soil and which destroyed and tore apart many lives and families? It's inconceivable and incredibly self-centered.
I wish you well wherever you decide to relocate.
But that's the thing. She won't relocate. None of those celebrities who arrogantly and loudly and proudly mocked that they would leave if Trump won, will actually stick to their word. Because their arrogance and smugness completely got in the way of even considering the possibility that Trump could win. No - for them, Hillary "of course!" had the election. It was hers to win. She was owed the presidency. She was entitled to the presidency. It was her time to be president. Nobody actually liked Trump except for those "deplorables", and they didn't matter anyway because their views were so insignificant and unworthy for consideration and it was
        so clear
that Hillary was going to win. That's what happens when you have people who live in their own little bubble and
        don't actually listen
to what everyone else has to say.

Thank you A_. Read today that both Dunham and Schumer are making fun of those asking them to leave, actually seemingly verbally abusive about what they themselves promised. Neither has ever made me laugh and now neither will have the pleasure of having me as a viewer. 🙂
The 9/11 references are beyond belief. The narcissism is incalculable but points out very clearly how very narrow minded and short sighted this election was to them. It's not about the big picture; it apparently is about what wasn't given to them. Word of advice to celebrities; it has been documented that their support is a hindrance rather than a plus. They need to leave their egos at home and quietly vote their preference like the rest of us.
