I mean Really? Would a movie star really kiss someone she's just met and barely had a conversation with? Would any girl do that?

No, I didn't find it strange, within the context of the entire movie. She was "this well-adjusted movie star" to everyone but was really not so well-adjusted inside and wanted desperately to be loved by someone. Plus movie stars kiss strangers regularly, for them it isn't abnormal.
