But I mean, it is the third one. I didn't say the same writers wrote it. But it is a third installment no matter how crappy and irrelevant it was. If they made another one, hopefully they would just ignore that one and continue the Julie James story.

That 3rd one was so depressingly bad
It was by the same producer though, which worries me that he didn't seem to care about it anymore, as he's producing the remake!

It could be "I Know what you did That Summer!" And maybe take place a few years (I suppose it doesnt matter how long ago given the title) after the event Maybe a group of friends in their early 30s did something in their teens and its only now catching up with them

There is a third movie, titled I'll Always Know what you did Last Summer in 2006. It was released straight to DVD and it was one of the trashiest movies I have ever seen: rehash plot, beep editing, dull new characters and bad acting. Originally, the idea for the third movie was to have Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr. And Brandy Norwood reprise their roles from the second movie, but this original script/movie was left alone for a while and producers decided to rewrite the script with all new characters, which is where they screwed up.

"I still know what you did last summer, the summer before that, and the summer before that"
"I know what you do every summer"
"Yeah this summer is no different"
"I knew, I knew, I still know, I'll know again"
