As soon as I saw David Schwimmer was starring I almost didn't watch it. That would have been a mistake. It's a really a fascinating story about the rise and fall of the two doctors who brought us breast implants, Schwimmer and Chris Cooper are perfect for their roles. And as you might have guessed, the nudity is rampant.
I hesitate to compare it to the masterpiece that is Boogie Nights, but the feel is somewhat similar once Schwimmer's character descends into sleaze.

It kept my interest. I was somewhat wary of David Schwimmer, also, but the story was very interesting, and kept my attention.

The large breasts kept my attention! I am now standing by for a barrage of abuse from "wimmin"

I almost refused to watch the film because of Schwimmer too, but decided to watch it for Chris Cooper, and was shocked at how seamlessly crafted and realistic and straightforward the film was.
This film was an exceptional production, Schwimmer should have earned a Golden Globe and Emmy for his portrayal; that other film you mentioned was overexposed exaggerated titillation exploitation.

I had to overcome the Schwimmer factor also, but hey, he's a fine actor in the right role outside of that sitcom, and he's great here. This is an excellent cable movie that could match most theatrical films releases then or now. Strong performances and script, and a seamless mixture of comedy and tragedy. 8/10 stars.

Yeah, one of my friends mentioned that he normally can't stand David Schwimmer, but thought that Schwimmer was incredibly great in this movie. I may have to check it out!
