Why even bother to reboot the franchise 11 years later? Why not just go ahead and make a movie called Stab instead? Screaming? Banshee? Screech?

I have to disagree with you on that one.
There are a lot of Fans that actually like the "
SCREAM
" Sequels.
Heck, A majority of Fans actually like "
SCREAM 2
", there are some that like "
SCREAM 3
" and "
SCREAM 4
", and it seems that a majority of Fans actually like the 5th Movie that just came out.

It definitely seems like a Majority of the fans of the "
SCREAM
" Movies actually liked 5th and 6th "
SCREAM
" Movies based on how successfully they both were.
