Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Fight Club

There were other great movies I love, talked-up or watched multiple times. But Fight Club, I love more than anything. Even when I played down my interest, in my heart, Fight Club was nestled within there all snug and cozy.
I love Fight Club so much, that if I were being sent out on a Star Trek across the universe boldly going where no nigga has gone before, and the only 5 DVD I could take with me, Fight Club would be mandatory.

Everyone in that movie was at the top of their game. It was outstanding and makes most other later movies seem insipid.

Is it just me, or do you think Fight Club is the best representation of dark satire ever on film? The execution is not offensive at all either. I don't really see any un- political correctness in the plot or wherever, do you?
People compare it to Kubrick films, but Fight Club is superior imo.

It's certainly one of the best dark satires I've ever seen, but so much is down to personal taste where films are concerned. I enjoyed every bit of it and found nothing offensive in it at all.

It's a masterpiece. The only reason Fight Club isn't part of imdb top 50 Greatest Films is because too many lunatics saw Fight Club and took the plot literally or whatever. They just did not get it. Why should we allow a magnificent work of art be downgraded due to a bunch of ****ing lunatics? Really beyond my comprehension…
