As popular as Lance Harbor was, how did he not find out that Mox went over to Darcy's house, or that she kissed him at the school? Wouldn't it have been a big deal for someone to see Darcy getting out of Mox's car at the party? Or kissing him at school? Wouldn't his sister have said something?
And as popular as Lance was, he didn't have ANY friends that went to see him in the hospital either? -

Maybe Lance wasn't in it for love either. Perhaps he was just playing the role bestowed upon him, dating the hot, lead cheerleader because that what was expected of the All-State Texas QB.
Darcy for using him to get out of Texas; He may have been using her to fill out his social profile.
Not saying this is the case; only suggesting that he may not be invested enough to care what she does.
