Why was her family practically giving her the silent treatment at the end? eg. avoiding sitting on her side of the table, ignoring her when she spoke, not allowing her to pass the food over etc. As insufferable as she was, it wasn't her fault that Bill turned out to be a paedophile. For some reason this crosses my mind a lot more than other arguably more provocative parts of the movie as it just struck me as odd. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure why they did that, probably because she became a pariah. It's true that it's not her fault that her husband was the way he was, however, sometimes people will still avoid you just for having been associated with someone like that.
Personally, I thought she was the most annoying character of all. Super self-righteous and stupid.

I thought they also would have avoided her because didn't she bail her husband out? He raped little boys- he should have been locked up.

I don't know, I actually didn't really noticed this, but I may have to see the last scene again to see what you're referring to. It seemed to me like this family wasn't very talkative to being with, and they didn't seem very happy with each other in general. Sure, we see them together, having dinner and all, but it doesn't seem like they care about each other that much. Also, I got the impression that the Jordans occasionally appeared criticizing the ones who weren't around, talking behind their back and stuff like that.
I didn't really take it like they were giving Helen the silent treatment, they were just being normally awkward.
I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation - Maleficent

alot of people blame the spouse for a pedobear, like they were supposed to see the signs or do something to stop them It happens in real life, although I didn't take anything like that from the movie, they were just being themselves

I think it's because she attached herself, her identity and life "success" on her husband, his profession and money, his success, to such an extreme degree that when he went down she no longer "had it all." The dangers of having an identity besides wife and mom. Oh, and the gratingly annoying sister.
