Why is it that this crappy series brings our top actresses into Hollywood?
Children of the Corn III: Charlize Theron plays a woman in a crowd.
Children of the Corn IV: Naomi Watts plays the main character.
Children of the Corn V: the conclusion brings the crappy but still famous actress Eva Mendes into the cinematic world.
Why couldn't they have had better starts? -

because thats how it is. There are tons of movies out there with actors and actresses who got their start in horror movies. like the other poster said. They have to start somewhere and besides these horror movies are considered lame and overdone after a while. So unlike a big motion picture it has to be easy to get casted in them.

This series isn't crappy. I think they should feel honored to have such great film debuts, especially Charlize because Part III is the best of the series in my opinion. Plenty of actors and actresses got their start in horror films. You have Johnny Depp in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Kevin Bacon in Friday the 13th, Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween, Leonardo Dicaprio in Critters 3, the list goes on and on.
