That was a beep ending and easily the weakest part of the film. The whole point of the movie is prosecuting Walter Wade, Jr., getting Diane to testify against him. Diane has been living in fear since that night and when she finally agrees to testify, she's put through more hell, one of her brothers is dead (or facing life-threatening injuries), Peoples, his younger brother, and most of his gang are dead, and we've had to put up with Busta Rhyme's unspeakable acting and dialog. Finally Walter's trial arrives and grandma gangbanger shoots him dead on the steps of the courthouse in front of hundreds of witnesses. If she's lucky she'll only be facing manslaughter charges instead of murder. Either way, she's probably going to rot in jail for the rest of her life or a large portion of what time she has left, her son is still dead, and Walter Jr. never faced the public humiliation of a jury trial, a conviction, and likely a life term in prison.
"The best part of the movie."
        my ass.
The best part of this movie was Jeffrey Wright.

Excellent ending, in my opinion, and one that surprised me the first time I saw it. The acting in that scene was excellent, with so much being said via subtle body language.

OP is right, best scene in the whole bad movie! I was LMFAO. Second was when the dead guy's mother starts gyrating and collapsing when the Judge says Christian can be allowed 1 million bail, I LOL'd so hard. It's not like he was found not guilty, such funny bad acting!

For Walter Wade's (Christian Bale's character) family, 1 million is like 10 dollars.

I dont know if the best scene, but one of the best lines in the film (if you like dark humour, of course)
Prostitute: What the beep are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

                  Bale is very convincing
funniest part was when the guy tried to take his shoes in the holding cellBale had some little feet, like an infant
he was right "they wouldn't fit" the other guy

Bale was so convincing that it feels like his actual personality. Except for Reighn of Fire (or something like that), I will not watch anything with Bale in it.

To be fair, as racist jokes go, that was so unbelievably dark and yet I have to admit, I couldn't help but chuckle at Bale's delivery and how diabolical he was. I kind of winced and went "Oooooh " before laughing, that was pretty damn harsh but definitely the best line of the film which was otherwise unmemorable.
