Yes, and now you know what is in the minds of the masses. Pure idiocy. They love ugly swearing piece of crap criminal jerkoff. That to them is "cool".
I see atfer reading all the comments, they don't really mean cool at all, they mean "bad a** !!!!! and M'Fer !! " <<< That's what they really mean, they do NOT mean cool at all.
The little psychotic dark violence crimes lover worshippers are probably too much of a bunch of little slimebag punks to be able to even picture "cool" when it doesn't involve massive threats and violence.
So of course this thread is stuck on stupid, as usual. A bunch of freaking morons, not even knowing what they're arguing about, or at the very least using the wrong word while they spew their fanboi syndrome.
Gosh, I am so sick of stupid. Stupid is not cool. -

Bruce Campbell is the coolest actor ever, no matter the role, no matter the movie, he always steals the scene, and he does it without having to scream or otherwise TRY to grab your attention. It's kind of like Will Smith a lot of times or Steve McQueen.
That being said, I don't think Jackson is cool, he's a badass and I'm not sure whether to think of that as something different than cool or a different kind of cool.
I don't know if any of you saw Grindhouse, but in the second movie (the one Tarantino directed), he seemed to try and turn the black actress acting alongside Rosario Dawson into a female Jules, and it just didn't work. -

You're all pathetic. If Samuel L. Jackson would ever stoop so low as to waste his precious time reading all these crocks of B.S., he would track every single one of you down and hurt you, because he does a fantastic job of portraying an angry black dude.
But he's still the epitome of cool, while you are all busy thinking epitome is pronounced "epi-tome". Like a tome of knowledge. A BOOK. -

what does pulp fiction or samuels role in it have to do with SHAFT? he was good in it, but thats no legitimation to play shaft.
here are my reasons why jackson was NOT the right person to play that 70s icon:
1.he is too old
2.he is not convincing as a guy who can beat up thugs. i mean look at his body. but wait his body is never shown, guess why no muscles
3.he is no womanizer
if you ask me, there was only ONE perfect choice for that role and its
WESLEY SNIPES
but too late, bah -

I can honestly say I've never disagreed with anything more than your post. Samuel L. Jackson is by far the coolest actor to ever grace the big screen, if not the coolest man on the planet. I hate to take this where everyone else has, but have you ever seen Pulp Fiction? How about Jackie Brown? Juice? Samuel L. Jackson is like the Rick James of cinema. No matter how cold blooded he appears to be, he makes it look so effortless. If that's not cool, I have no idea what is.
