WHICH LEAVES YOU WITH A BETTER FEELING AT THE END?
I THINK I LIKE THE MOVIE TRICK BETTER, BUT I LIKED THE CHARACTERS BETTER IN ALL OVER THE GUY. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? -

I loved them both, in two different ways. Both had great acting and tv-stars in it, which are my obsession.
TRICK is the "indie" one, the one who's real and i kinda felt like Gabriel, Chris Campbell' character. But to be honest "ALL OVER THE GUY" is the romantic-comedy in "MY BEST FRIEND's WEDDING" style, so probably it is my favourite.
Most because of Richard Ruccolo! you know..
Anyway i saw TRICK when i was about 16 and maybe i didn't get the real sense of the movie and i saw "All Over" when i was 19, so probably i liked me more just because of age.
I'm gonna see TRICK again and then i'll be back here to tell if i've the same opinion or not.
^_^ bye. -

All Over the Guy had a better ending, or at least we are led to believe. Trick was wonderful too, but the ending wasn't as good. I wanted more than just a correct telephone number - would he call him back if he left a message? It left me kind of cold.
I love both of these films, so I am only basing my comments on the ending.

Damn it.. I know someone would ask this question sometimes.
I love Trick better for its everlasting feeling, but All Over the Guy was definitely better as far as film making and has a better overall cast.
BUT!! That is not to say that Trick doesn't have that, I really think Trick purposedly had this underbudget feeling and immature filming style to construct the "2am on the streets of New York sort of insomnia mixing a thirst for love" kind of cool, unstructured, and midnight feeling.
They are both very good fairytales!! -

I think these two movies are really different so I personally can't choose, they are both very sweet but aside from the being about a gay couple and having an uptight insecure queen who can't appreciate a gorgeous guy being attracted to him, I mean, what was Gabriel's problem in "Trick" and Eli's in "All over the guy"??? I know looks aren't everything but both Mark and Tom weren't only beyond hot but actually very nice too and these two ice princesses were just making it harder for them, I seriously couldn't understand why the most attractive guy was the clingy one in both movies.

I would have to say "All Over the Guy," because they guys were older and had spent more time together and knew more about each other, and had more serious rifts, and I guess I have more of a feeling that it's the beginning of a long term relationship. Trick is very romantic, but they're SO young.

These movies don't really have much in common except that the main stars are gay.
They had different budgets, and each character had different lifestyles and different
personalities.
I guess if meant by rating it overall, in my opinion, it would be 'Trick' because I'm from the Bay Area and can relate to their lifestyles more.
'All Over The Guy' was superb in its own way because its timeline was longer rather then just 1 night.
But, I love 'Trick' because it is light-hearted. And A great comedy. I could watch 'Trick' over-and-over again where as 'All Over The Guy' would get boring after a while.

Loved them both, but AOTG had a bit more drama going on, whereas Trick was a lighter film in tone. I'd have to select Trick, because of that, and my personal bias: it was all filmed in NYC, all over my stomping grounds. It's nice to see that on film!

I think Trick leaves more of a warm fuzzy feeling, but that's the point because it is a romantic comedy. I think All Over the Guy is a bit more realistic. It is a rom-com also but a little less by the numbers. I feel that both movies are charming and fun.
