Frigging Ned Flanders and Willie Scott 2.0 singlehandedly made this the worst JP. If I was Dr. Grant, I would've tied them to a tree, poured barbecue sauce all over them, and fed them to the spinosaurus.

Totally agree! I was watching JP3 on AMC last night and I just kept on wishing the parents would die. They were so clichd. The whole subplot of divorced parents reuniting to find their son was not interesting at all.

i had never bothered to see this before tonight, but since nothing else was on, and it followed the original JP on syfy, i thought, why not?
now, i see why not? this is more than tragic; it's just stupid. tea leoni's screaming is making me pray to God that she gets chewed to pieces by any combination of dinosaurs, but i know that won't happen - the leads never get munched, darn it! -

I think the concept of a guy and his ex devising a way to get to the island under fake guise was good enough - if your kid ended up missing, you'd do whatever you could to get the help to find him.
That being said, their behavior was very distracting. The utter stupidity of shouting constantly when you know there are apex predators around is fairly idiotic, and the "let's go home bit" was pretty dumb. I mean she just saw her boyfriend dead in a tree like 48 hours ago. There's an aphrodysiac -

Her character is THE WORST! I would have loved for her to have gotten eaten around the time she's using the megaphone to scream her son's name. Instead, someone else had to die for her stupidity. The whole movie is based around stupid people making stupid, selfish decisions.

They did. However, when Malcolm and company heard and saw the Stegosauruses, they had the good sense to stop moving and quiet down. Amanda Kirby constantly pressed her luck by shouting every ten seconds and blowing off everything Dr. Grant said.
