Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Candyman: Day of the Dead

I hope I am not the only one who thought the video covers for all the Candyman films(especially the 2nd one)were creepy looking. I will admit the covers of those movies scare me a little. Ever since I saw the cover for the 2nd movie, I have been freaked out. By the way, I am only 16, just to let everyone know. Also, I have a fear of bees. I have had a fear of bees before the candyman movies came out.

i agree the covers are very elegant and artistic and add to the creepiness of the movie, very haunting.

Those things are downright disturbing, I give the artist props for doing something so cool

I agree that the covers for all 3 are creepyI used to be so scared of the Candyman movies to the point where when I'd go into the video store I didn't want my eyes to even look at the cover.
However, I think the first Candyman has the best cover (I have the poster = I got past the fear of the covers but they are still creepy)

Yeah they're pretty good I guess. Kind of overdose the bee aspect though.

The second one used to scare me at the video shop when I was a kid.

Me too! I wasn't allowed to see them as a kid, but god, at the video store, I'd hold them and study the covers like it was the holy Grail. The covers were so creepy, it made me even more curious as to what was so forbidden about seeing it.
