Okay, at the end of the first one, we thought Candyman was dead, tht Helen had taken over.
At the end of Farewell To The Flesh, we thought that Annie killed him, by smashing that mirror.
Why does he keep coming back?
I haven't seen this movie, so there might be a reson.
My Mind Is Not A Very Pleasent Place To Be.

Candyman 3 took the Freddy Kruger approach: as long as people beleive in him he'll never be truly be dead. (sounds corny)
