about 5 years irl and 1200+ years in story..about the same - when accuracy;-)
But what's not to like when going to the movies? They both made 2hours+ movies great again! AND..would The LOTR(2001-2002-2003)trilogy be the same without these?
..and not being Marvel or DC is a very GOOD thing in my old 2016 book..;-)

Braveheart. It was gripping, beautifully shot and just overflowing with emotion.
Gladiator was ok and had a talented cast but was a little dull for me.

Gladiator has the best cinematography and villain performance from Joaquin Phoenix, but I think Braveheart has the better story.

                        I wasn’t a huge fan of Braveheart.

Gladiator had better acting and photography.
Braveheart came first so set the example,
plus the war scenes are done better in Braveheart.

Gladiator is the better movie. Even though the story was mostly made up it's only slightly less historically accurate than Braveheart - a supposedly Scottish movie with an Australian star filmed in Ireland.
