I'm saying I like Family Guy. Is that too complicated for you?
And it's perfectly fine. And yeah, he seems to have an issue with this simple concept.
I don't care about the "general consensus", I still love Family Guy and find it funny.
And just to piss off some crybabies Simpsons' fans: Family Guy is MILES better than The Simpsons.

is not arguing about Family Guy. He wants to rant at me, not talk about the show. He's some butthurt coward who I've beaten around a few times. Lol.
But as for the topic, Family Guy is a satirical cartoon and I still enjoy it. I don't watch it looking for Shakespeare. It's just a mindless diversion like anything on tv. Critics?

Remember when the news came out that Seth Mac Farlane was quoted as saying that he was tired of doing Family Guy and had been secretly hoping that the show would get canceled?
Seth wanted to branch out and try out something new. New ideas for projects he wanted to do?
He even went as far as self-sabotaging his work ethic. He started coming in late for work and while there, didn't perform 100%. This was at the very height of the shows popularity as well. The network hired more writers to help. It seemed like the quality of the comedy took a nosedive at that point. I just did not know the inside story of why that was happening. The episodes started seemingly formulated. You what I mean? -

I feel you. I thought the show was funny when I was a teenager, but it's just not funny anymore. This show did overstay its welcome, even worse than The Simpsons did IMO.

The Simpsons has overstayed its welcome for so long that it isn’t even the same show anymore, nor has it been in a looong time. The Simpsons has been a poor show for twice the time it was ever a good one.

It's weird cuz I sort of started watching The Simpsons again after abandoning it for Family Guy. The writers have this special way of making self-deprecating humor not hurt as much when I watch it. So it's like I don't feel like I wanna cry while watching the characters go through certain situations in the plot.
For instance, Mr Burns represents the evil employer that you hate in a job you're stuck doing. You're embarassed to be working there but it's steady income that need to support your family. -
