This movie had the potential to be SO much better…

I actually think this is a really interesting concept for a movie. Everyone is fascinated by secret societies, esp. S&B since it is the most secret. When I saw the movie was coming on TV and my room mate told me it was about S&B, I was really excited to watch it.however, after about 45 min. inI found myself scoffing at it. The acting was horrible and it was terribly unrealistic. If they had taken the concept of this movie and actually gotten good actors (i.e.- not Paul Walker) and made it more realistic with better writing it really could've been enjoyable. The only way I found it enjoyable was in the sense that it was so bad I found myself laughing out loud at it.
Anywaythat's just my humble opinion.
Oh, btwmy favorite line was, "she likes to eat popsicles after you make love" wowwwwwwwww, my room mate and I LOST it at that point, bahaha -

i found the ending to be sappy but poignant. There have been worse ways to waste your time. I find it compelling that it was a fluff film about a DEADLY serious organization with historically dubious connections going back to the British Smuggling Trade in the 1800s. Its membership included Pillsbury, Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, Bush and many other giants of business.
It had the potential to be much more compelling, dumbass, childish prick replies aside.

I just watched the movie on American Movie Classics, hardly the best venue to use to enjoy movies. A Premium channel (HBO, Showtime), Turner Classic Movies (no commercial interruptions) or a DVD would've been much better. I agree with the rest of the posters on this board: "The Skulls" could've been done MUCH BETTER. It had potential. Better directing (Brian De Palma, Ridley Scott or David Cronenberg) could've saved it. Better acting, too. The cast was ATROCIOUS! There was simply NO SUSPENSE! I reached for the channel clicker at least a dozen times! I stayed with the movie because I wanted to see HOW bad it would get! In THAT regard, I was not disappointed!

Far out at best, certainly fiction, but sorta interesting.Best thing about it was the interior shots and the beautiful architecture. That took top billing for me.I think the secret society part, was done better in The Firm and some other movies
