As my late, great Mama was fond of saying : why don't you M.Y.O.B., Nancy.
The suggestion that someone go outside is downright hysterical, coming from such a TV addict as yourself.
ETA - kindly show everyone exactly where the posters were "whining", negative Nancy? -

I'm sick of this show because of the characters. I torture myself through it because I've watched just about every other decent drama/thriller series I've ever heard of.
This show has been sub-par since Stabler left, Munch leaving then made it worse. Olivia becoming captain put the dagger into it. She in intolerable in that role.
Can't stand Rollins, can't stand Amaro. So pretty much the whole unit cast is trash now.
The only reedeming characters are Ice-T and the only decent new age character is ADA Barba.
They need to just wrap this show up with a finale already. It's been what? 18 years?
But I guess they are somehow still bringing in the ratings, so I must be a minority in my opinion otherwise they would have cancelled. -

I do love the show too and proud to give it 10 stars.
Those who say it's become Benson's show, then to think about it, I believe Benson had more screen time and story lines before she was promoted to Sergeant. True, the story line with Noah and Tucker got some screen time and perhaps more focus, but Olivia as a detective has been more in the background, at least in my opinion.
And then of course there are fans, to whom Olivia Benson is the heart of the show, meaning having her killed or otherwise written off might be the end of the show. I might be one of those fans, but then again there still is Fin.
What I see a lot on this message boards, is moaning against Benson/Hargitay and wishing she'd retire or get killed. I say without her, the show won't be the same. I believe most longtime viewers sensed the shift in season 13, after Stabler retired. They came out of it, but to write off the last original cast member, it might not survive. But then again, who am I to say?
Also I seem to represent minority with the option that I like a bit more personal life on the show and Olivia getting a baby is wonderful, yet Rollins had a kid - no moaning about it, as well as about the relationship between Amanda and Carisi. All the story lines with Nick and his kids, his relationship(?) with Amanda, his angery outbursts and annoying temper tantrums No? But Olivia's personal life is a problem?
Oh, well
