Meloni left the show because$395,000 per episode wasn't enough

WHERE did he state this? I heard he took it back.
He stated that to a reporter for the Courier-Mail that:
"I think 12 years is enough, a good numberThe writers will have fertile ground to figure out how to arc [Elliot Stabler] out to another placewhether it's this world or the next." Meloni wants to do theater and film projects after he leaves the long-running series.
Meloni didn't deny he said this until the executives at NBC got this huge negative backlash about losing Meloni from the show. I'm sure they made their displeasure to Meloni about his comments very clear which is why he felt he had to "walk back" his statement. Neal Baer was quoted as saying "No" when asked if Meloni was leaving SVU. Since we all know that Meloni
did
leave SVU after the 12th season, I think it's obvious who was telling the truth and who was blowing smoke.
I do think Meloni wanted to leave the show. The character was getting one-note and he wanted to try new things. I think he did enter negotiations to see what they would be willing to offer to get him to stay and it wasn't enough. Whether he asked for more money or a chance to direct, we don't know because we weren't in that room with them. But I don't think he regrets leaving and feels he is done with Stabler. -

1.That quote could have been from anyone! And the last part was speculation NOT a quote from him. Try again
That quote wasn't from anyone. It was from Meloni to the Courier Mail. (Meloni never denied that he talked to the reporter.) I saw it, as did plenty of others which is why there were all those follow up articles that quoted the Courier Mail about Meloni's stating he intended to leave SVU after the 12th season. And why people were going crazy because they thought they were losing Stabler. And that last part was what he said to the reporter about what he wanted to do after he left SVU.
2. That is your opinion. Not fact.
You are "Sure" they made their displeasure known to him.
So in other words..you don't KNOW!
Of course they did. Network Executives do not like when their leads make surprise announcements that they are leaving their popular shows. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that. If you can't understand that then that's your problem.
Again Neal Bear said he was NOT leaving. You hear what you WANT to hear lady
Yes, I said that Neal Baer said he was NOT leaving and he was wrong. Meloni did leave. So I don't know what you're blathering about.
You THINK he wanted to leave. But again..You don't KNOW!
Actually, he stated he wanted to leave after the 12th season and he did leave. So yes, I do know. So does everyone else. (Well, except you.) If he had wanted to stay with the show he would have but he didn't. He wasn't fired. He chose not to re-sign a new contract.
You keep saying "I think" or "I don't think" a lot. Meaning it's your OPINION. Not fact. As usual!
The parts that I am simply speculating, I did put "I think" because it was my opinion. But the article and Meloni choosing to leave SVU after the 12th season are indeed facts. That happened. If you want to ignore facts then that's on you. Your ignorance is not my concern. -

Um the quote you gave me did NOT say it was FROM him. It could have been from ANYONE. And for god sakes WHY are we rehashing this GD subject for the beep millionth time? He's GONE, NOT coming back. Who CARES why he left? Move the hell on already. Geezus beezus.
Courier Mail? Seriously? They are not reliable. FYI? Ellen Pompeo from Grey's said a few years ago she was leaving too. And guess what? She is STILL there! PD did the same and it was years before he left. So your point? Oh waityou don't have one! Reports take actors words ALL the time and twist them and regardless, he TOOK IT BACK!!
Again beep MORON that is your OPINION that that is what they did. NOT fact. Can you actually PROVE they fired him for that? No. And many other actors have said they were leaving(see above examples) and they were NOT fired! No he did NOT say he wanted to leave. SHOW ME where he said it. Don't post some random quote and pretend it's from him. I'm not stupid despite you thinking I am.
No NOT necessarily! If he wanted to stay he would have? You know this HOW? Oh RIGHT you DON'T. I know you think you are special and all and know everything but you don't. Sorry to burst your latex bubble there honey. You don't KNOW that he was fired. That is NOT what I and others heard.
Huh? "I THINK" you beep-0 mean you are GUESSING! "I KNOW" means you know for SURE. My god were you born stupid? What ARTICLE? WHAT "Facts"? SHOW THEM TO ME or shut up!
Go take a beep prozac and go back to your home. They are missing you.
Oh my goodness Cardinal42 the one who needs prozac

OK, now you're just ranting and raving incoherent nonsense. And repeating the same comments that I've already answered. There is no sense in my replying to someone as unhinged as you. Reading your post makes it clear that you have some
serious
anger issues. Also, possibly some problems with cognitive dysfunction. You should look into that. -
