the Episode Where Plankton And Mr Krab Switch Places And Mr krabs Is Running Around Naked And They're Shooting Clothes At Him And Bra Lands On Him And Goes "At least It's Underwire". Also Sandy Cheeks In The Bikini Bottom.

In the episode where Squidward realizes he has no happy memories, there are two suicide jokes.
One was a depressed Squidward saying something like "Maybe this will fix things" and he sticks his head in the oven. But then after a second he pulls his head out and it turns out he was making brownies.
Then he stands on a chair and says something and then throws a rope around a beam. But then after a second, he lifts up a bird cage and ties it to the rope.
Kids wouldn't have gotten the jokes but adults would have. In fact, without the suicide references, those two things would have seemed weird and out of place.
They were clearly both jokes for adults only. -

Honestly though, I like how beep up the show has gotten. It makes it much more interesting to watch as an adult. -

Wasn't that what the OP is asking about: stuff they put in that only adults would understand?
The suicide jokes are things that only adults would understand. A kid wouldn't get the reference of Squidward putting his head in the oven or throwing a rope around a beam. -
