To be fair the movie was going to be crap from the get-go but I don't rate Theron very highly. All her movies have been bad until Cider House Rules which was okay and Monster was laughable. It proves you can get an oscar for doing a frog impersonation.

What more do you want from an actress? Can you give some examples of actresses that you think are much, much better, just wondering.
Im not going against you or anything, its just that I think Charlize is great and that its hard to find better actresses in her age today. But if you can Id be curious to know which actresses you think are better.

this names all suck especially this nicole kidman!charlize has really done a great jobi mean in the first part charlize is so funny and in the other parts charlize is crying acting like a real drama queen..the razzie nominators should kiss charlize ass man!

Maybe it's just my [reproductive organ] talking, but I think Charlize Theron is easily one of the best female actors around today. The ones that stand out on that list to me are Hilary Swank, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman and Rene Zelwegger. I'd also throw Alison Lohman into the mix. But what do I know? I'm posting a message in a "Sweet November" message board.
To say Theron was bad in this movie just seems ridiculous. In fact, I'd say she sets one of the most glaring examples of an actress stealing the show from an actor in cinematic history. (Not that it's hard to stand out in a Keanu Reeves film) -

Charlize Theron was actually very, very good in this movie.
Actually I've never seen her in a bad performance. I've seen her in bad movies (Waking up in Reno, Reindeer Games), but she was never the problem of the film. She always worked on her characters, she always made choices in her performances, she always managed to make you feel the human side of her character no matter if the material was flawed.
To Fonz: you wrote so many idiocies in your posts that I don't know where to begin.
For now, let's start from your list: the other poster asked you about actresses of the same age-range of Charlize Theron; almost all the actresses you mentioned aren't in the same age-range. And Charlize is anyway in the same league of half of them, and above the other half. -

I also think Charlize is a pretty good actress, but have you ever seen her at an awards show? Geez, lady, get a sense of humor. Don't alienate yourself by acting like every joke made is killing a baby seal. Don't become a Sean Penn. And as for her and Stuart Townsend putting off the wedding plans until the gays can get married. Uh, Charlize, wake up and smell the feather boa tucked away in the back of the walk-in closet. Stewie's got "jazz hands"!!
Ok-I just wanted to make that little joke. Bye bye!
