Why would Will and Jay go to rocks?

Seems strange, specially Jay since from what they showed he shouldn't really be invested in either group. I assume they must have promised something to him they didn't show to make it worth their while.

Jay won the challenge so he didn't draw rocks. He had no dog in the fight and didn't care. Will was the one that could have changed the game, preview for next week makes no sense since now he wants to work with David and he didn't vote Zeke out.
