Did you actually vote for this? This seems very weird to me, from an interview on Fox:
President Trump declined in an interview aired Sunday to rule out the possibility that his economic policies, including aggressive tariffs against America’s trade partners, would cause a recession.
In the interview with Maria Bartiromo, the host of “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News, Mr. Trump also said that he was considering increasing tariffs against Mexico and Canada. The interview took place on Thursday at the White House.
Referencing “rising worries about a slowdown,” Ms. Bartiromo asked Mr. Trump: “Are you expecting a recession this year?”
“I hate to predict things like that,” Mr. Trump responded. “There is a period of transition, because what we’re doing is very big. We’re bringing wealth back to America. That’s a big thing, and there are always periods of, it takes a little time. It takes a little time, but I think it should be great for us.”
Mr. Trump’s imposition of sweeping tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China last week rocked stock markets and invited pushback from industries, including the largest automakers, who told the president that the duties would decimate their business. Canada immediately retaliated with tariffs on $20.5 billion worth of American exports and threatened additional measures. China has also placed tariffs on U.S. goods and plans to impose another round on Monday -

I believe that Americans voted for some sort of HOPE for a future.
Americans looked at what they were offered, and decided on some Common Sense!
Is it going to help us out the mess we are in? I Hope so!!!

I frankly don't care about Kamala's gaffes. She was a lousy candidate. More than that, Biden was wrong to hold on and try for a second time, a second term, given that he wasn't up to it. He frittered away the Democrats' time to find and prepare a suitable candidate.
They're gone.
But I am more interested in: did you expect a self-created recession? Because lol that is what Trump is giving himself runway for in that interview, which I found incredible, given that you were promised lower prices on Day One. -

Did you think fixing things would be easy? Or painless?
Especially after biden did everything he could to deliberately make recovery more difficult once it became clear he would lose.
That happened after the first debate so he had plenty of time to cause trouble.

Yes.
The democrats engineered it that way. They were bitching about egg prices within a week of the inauguration. They were ready for chaos because they planned it.
But we will clean it up. We will turn it around. Trump just keeps winning. Can't stop the momentum. And if you are worried then here is a thought. Stop being an obstructionist.

It’s ****ing fantastic how incredibly stupid you are.
Trump alienates the entire western world, tariffs for allies in trade, completely tanks the market, leaves the Ukraine hanging and pretty much destroys any faith in the US the rest of the civilized world has ever had, causing massive boycott of American goods and services.
