I have a question - why couldn't Miranda have lived and Jinx die instead? StillJinx thankfully never did get her own spin-off movie so it is a form of death.

She was supposed to have a spin-off movie? What a nightmare

I came to this board specifically because of Miranda's outfit in the final scene. I'm glad someone else noticed it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the view, but it did stand out to me as silly for her to be dressed like that. Kite-surfing using a parachute and a rocket dragster hatch on a lake in Iceland? Extensive high-speed car chase through an ice palace? No problem. A female villain in a sports bra during a duel? Totally unbelievable.

I thought the same thing. I just watched this film for the first time a few days ago after developing a massive crush on Rosamund Pike. In the audio commentary she provided, she commented on the outfit. She said that she thought it was so silly that she had to develop a backstory for herself to form a reason for why she'd be dressed like that. That's one of the many reasons I'm so fond of her. She has such candour and humour.

She is an excellent actress! I had no idea of her range until Gone Girl as DAD was the only other thing I had seen her in. So now I need to see what she did between the two. Hopefully many good films.

If I can, may I suggest 'An Education', 'Pride & Prejudice', and 'Barney's Version'? She has smaller roles in the first two, but she gives a fine performance in them. 'An Education' is a bit of a departure for her because it's a somewhat comedic role. I think her performance in 'Barney's Version' is highly underrated. They're all really worthwhile films.

Her performance in An Education is absolutely brilliant! Watch a scene from Gone Girl, and then one from An Education and you'll be surprised it's the same person.

I love that scene, my thoughts during the scene were more along the lines of why didn't she wear the outfit earlier in the movie she looked great in it. I love the lines "I can read your every move" "read this bitch".
There must be something deleted that explains why she changed costume.

Yes. My favourite Bond to be honest.

Maybe she was training when Bond showed up. I'm more upset that an expert fencer got destroyed by a jive-talking idiot.
