I think when Marcus said, “you’ve become kind,” he meant that he suspected Vi was no longer turned on by his disability. I also thought that Marcus didn’t enjoy sex with her as much, either, since he never even touched her during, or after their encounter, and he just asked her about his short story afterwards.
