Why was Selma Blair’s character’s boyfriend so nasty to her after the teacher told him his story was bad? She told him it was good. Was it because she lied to him about it? Also, why did he automatically assume she wanted to sleep with her professor, just because she didn’t defend his story to her classmates? And why did he think she was tired of him just because she wasn’t sweating? He didn’t seem sweaty, either.

It was probably because he felt embarrassed that his story was torn up in front of his classmates. I agree with the last part of your post. He didn’t look sweaty to me at all.
