The scene with the professor was more explicit in terms of dialogue, but I thought that the beginning scene looked more real.

I also read that. It says on IMDB that there weren’t any closeups of that scene out of respect for the actors.

That could also be why Marcus wasn’t shown until after they finished, out of respect for the actor playing him.

Well, they finished the second that scene started, and the actor’s name is Leo Fitzpatrick.

Another poster was wondering if Leo Fitzpatrick was nervous about the opening scene. Well, Kids was pretty graphic, so he was probably used to putting himself out there like that.

I just looked on IMDB again, and the bit of trivia you mentioned is gone. Maybe it wasn’t true.
