Thanks zecon202! I think that is all of my titlesI still have some boxed up since I moved. I believe there is a few more that I forgot, but for the most part. That is probably about 98% of my collection. Well I started off very small. There was a time when I thought the "best" of anime was Bebop, Trigun, and BerserkFortunately I found MANY other titles that are amazingly awesome ;). Likewise my friend! Glad to know there is someone that enjoys collecting them as much as I do ;). So how long have you been into anime? What was your first anime show/movie?
Oh yeah! I left out the following I also have:
Sword of the Stranger dvd
Z.O.E. (Zone of the Enders complete series)
Blue Gender Complete Series DVD
Blue Submarine #6
Paranoia Agent Complete Series DVD
Akira DVD
Neo Ranga Complete series DVD
I believe that is my "complete" collection thus far

I've been a huge anime fan since the 80's, I believe the first anime I watched was Voltron followed shortly by Robotech even though I didn't understand it much back then lol. After that was the 'big 4' from the 80's, Lupin the 3rd, Saint Seiya, Ronin Warriors and Fist of the North Star and while not very popular here in the States, Captain Tsubasa was among the anime I watched religiously. With the 90's coming closer, the one anime that made me realize and totally addicted to anime was Dragon Ball and I'm not talking about only Z, I started from the very beginning when Goku was a kid, I loved the humor and this anime holds a special place for me since I grew up with it. Around the same time I also enjoyed some other animes like Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter
Bloodlust, Street Fighter 2, Fatal Fury, Golden Boy. Then came Cartoon Network and probably some of the best series I seen came from there such as Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star and finally Trigun. Every other anime I own came from watching Animes online first, some that had major impact for me such as Berserk, Elfen Lied, Gungrave, Gurren Lagann, The Count of Monte Cristo, Baccano! and my most recent one When they cry. That pretty much sum it all up, sorry for the long post, my favorite anime to be honest is probably Dragon Ball since it had greatest impact to me and introduced to many other amazing animes, but as far as the best anime I seen I would probably say Berserk although that's a tough choice to make lol. How did you get into anime? -
Force_of_Legend — 15 years ago(October 31, 2010 02:54 PM)
Well you have been into it from the "beginning"! I actually started around late 2003, or early 2004. I actually believe it was late 2003. I had two friends that were bugging me to watch anime. I always shrugged it off though. The one friend called me around 10pm one night. We talked for nearly an hour. Then he asked me to turn on the TV. He asked me to go to Adult Swim. That was the first time that I saw Bebop. I believe it was the episode where Jet ran into his ex girl. I thought it was pretty cool, but wasn't completely converted yet. Then the next show after that was Big O. I enjoyed that one as well. So I decided to check out the shows the next night. They must have been playing them out of order. Because Pierrot le Fou was what was aired the next night. After that episode I was hooked! Then I went from Bebop, to Big O. Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter
Bloodlust. To all of the ones mentioned in my list.
Berserk is amazing! I don't know how one could not love that show. It has a Shakespearean feel to it. What is the newest, or most recent anime that you have seen?

The most recent one was 'When they cry', I heard from someone describing similar to Elfen Lied, I loved Elfen Lied so I decided to give it a try, not only did it met my expectations, it surpassed it, I enjoyed it more than Elfen Lied!

I have been wanting to see When They CryIt looked very interesting from what I read, and saw of the trailers. I remember I didn't look into it awhile ago. Because of the Geneon issueI really enjoyed Elfen Lied as well! Some people say it is too violent, but I feel it serves the story well. Also it has some awesome character development! I am glad that you really love When They Cry! I am definitely going to check it out once I get caught up on a few titles that I am currently working through
You mentioned BaccanoWho is your favorite character? And why?

zecon202 — 15 years ago(November 03, 2010 03:26 PM)
Baccano is awesome, to choose one favorite character would be difficult, there's so many! lol But if I had to pick one it would probably be Vino aka Rail Tracer, for his twisted sense of justice and for being a badass without being immortal! I would love for them to continue the series and perhaps see a battle between him vs Huey or Firo. Other cool character include Firo for his funny accent, Ladd Russo for being so sadistic, and Issac and Miria for being such airheads lol.

Haha! You are right! There are like 18 main characters. You named my favorite for sure.. Vino all the way.
His showdown with Ladd on top of the train was just fantastic. Showing the big bad. Going up against the Bigger Bad. Vino wasn't even trying to "hurt" him. I also love when Vino went up against the guy with the wrench. Can't remember his name. Love how he kept ignoring him while talking to Chane.
Can you name your top 5, or maybe top 10 anime?

That's a real challenge, I cant determine my favorites since the order changes with my mood, I tried to come up with one on a different topic here
http://www.imdb.com/board/10251439/board/flat/171044871?p=1
, but even that list is outdated now. I know for a fact my top 3 are Dragon Ball, Berserk and Trigun, if we can include video games, then Final Fantasy 7 and Advent Children combined (for a complete story) would probably make it to my #4 or higher, everything else can be placed in any order. For example it would be impossible for me to place Gungrave over Baccano! since I love them both equally, to force one over the other would make my head explode lol. What about you, what would be your top 10 favorites? -
