Well, I cant say it is the ebst anime ever for me, but it is in my top 10/top 15, on equal terms with GiTS: SAC, Ergo Proxy, Texhnolyze, Last Exile There is a few I would rathe higher, but I agree, it creates a strong impression! I was not too fond of it in the first episodes, but then it got really addictive.

Yeah.

But it's so tough, the anime is 13 years old. People forget that others are still discovering it.
I don't know if this is the best ever, but it's right up there for me. Right there with Cowboy Bebop and Death Note. Those three I can't get enough of.

Trigun is really great! Not my personal "best anime ever", but within the top 10 or 15 like Unicorn said. My list would look something like this:
Baccano!(10)
Full Metal Alchemist (9.5)
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (10)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (9)
Gungrave (9.5)
Cowboy Bebop (10)
Berserk (9.5)
Vampire Hunter
Bloodlust (9.5)
Wolf's Rain (9)
Samurai Champloo (10)
Last Exile (9.5)
Trigun (9.5)
Death Note (9.5)
Ninja Scroll (9)
Blood + (8.5)

I see that nobody talks about Desert Punk, which I think is really amazing, on the same level as Trigun and I do believe Trigun is my fave anime, I have seen plenty but not one made me feel like this one. Maybe Cowboy Beebop too.

Your rightDesert Punk is very similar to Trigun, but also unique. I really did like Desert Punk. Just wasn't a fan of the direction of the series after episode 22? I can't remember when it shifted, but I know you recall what I am talking about. It is still a great show! One that I proudly own on DVD, and look forward to watching again!

Hey Unicorn! It's been a long time my good friend! I hope you are well? Yes! Desert Punk is pretty good! I recommend it! It starts off funny, and develops a serious side towards the end. Right now I am watching GunXSword which also has a Trigun/Bebop vibe to it. I am enjoying it very much. I just got through watching Welcome to the NHK which I highly recommend to everyone!

Hiya, long time no hear/read/write?

I want to watch welcome to the NHK as well. I have seen some good stuff recently, but still a lot on the to watch list. Currently started Lunar Legend Tsukihime, hope it is going to be a good one

I know! Too long my old friend! Welcome to the NHK is a must if you are wanting to take a break from science fiction/action shows. It is kind of sad, but really a really awesome story. One of my favorites! I have seen a few good ones lately too! Planetes (starts off funny, and turns serious.), Black Blood Brothers (okay vampire showkind of forgettable though), Ghost Hunt, Code Geass, and a few others that I can't remember right now lol.

I have seen Planetes and Ghost Hunt as well. The first one kind of annoyed me at first but I loved it later on, and Ghost Hunt I liked all the way through. The scary mansion arch wa the best, but so creepy!
How did you like Code Geass? People usually even hate it or love it

Planetes was great! I loved the ending, and tone shift! Ghost Hunt was awesome! And I agree! The Haunted Mansion was the best group of episodes which was actually scary!
Code Geass was great! I loved it from start to finish. The ending was great. I liked what Lalouch did. And yes I believe that was him on the wagon. -

So hard to find your answers in this post:/
I preferred Code Geass's first season to the second, sort of. I liked Schneizel's character, although he was such a bastard in the end. But it was a series that kept you at the edge of the seat the whole time.
Planetes did not start promising, the first episodes were a bit disappointing, and I did not like the main character all that much, but in the end it was excellent, I loved the ending, so satisfying! -

Cowboy bebop is probably the most iconic anime I have seen alongside NGE, but now after more than 100 series I have seen, I would not say that it is the best of the best. Equally good as a few others though
