The opening is just fantastic! The whole movie is great! Including the awesome bar brawl lol Vash is such a goof! The movie captures the feel of the first several episodes well. Before the series had the major tone shift.

I have wrapped up all the series I had on hold. I still need to see Steamboy, but I keep putting it off. Not sure what series I would like to start next. Did you ever see The Girl Who Lept Through Time, and Summer Wars? Both are great movies! There was a trailer to a movie I saw while watching Summer Wars I believe? The trailer looked really good, but I can't remember the name. Basically a boy travels back to Feudal Japan. He is able to summon a Dragon that he can ride. I need to look the name of that up.

Lol, should we go back to our old thread, or hijack someone else's?

At any rate, I saw The Girl Who Lept Through Time which I really liked, but not Summer Wars yet. I put all my films on hold as I wanted to finish Mushi-shi, Casshern: Sins and a few other things I started watching some time ago and did not want to forget what they were about.
My to-watch list is really long, luckily the new season does not look very promising, so I will watch 2 series fresh from the Winter season and then one old thing hopefully. The new Last Exile series started airing a few weeks ago, not as good as the first season though -

Lol I am entertaining the idea of hijacking this thread. I will get back with you. The Girl Eho Lept Through Time is fantastic isn't it? Summer Wars as you are probably aware was made by the same director. Also very enjoyable, but more action packed, and Sci Fi in nature. Even though The Girl Who Lept Through Time dealt with time travel. It's explanation was vague.
I really want to watch Mushi Shi, but I haven't been in the mood for a slower paced series. Even though it is very engrossing. So the new Last Exile is a series? A remake? Or some kind of continuation? If it is a remake why? The first series was excellent! You should que up Guin Saga, and Angel Beats. You won't regret it.

Lol thanks for the support. Of course technically alli have to do is mention something about Vash's height at least in one sentence of my post. That should cover me lol.
Ahem! Vash is pretty tall, and thin

Well, I guess we can do that
Do you reckon Vash is taller than Spike?
And now as for the actual hijacking (I kind of miss the old thread though, sniff sniff), Mushi-shi was surprisingly fast. Well, not as in action packed fast, but I was surprised how entertaining and addictive the stories were getting, I marathoned the second half in two days. I had more fun watching it than Casshern that seemed like one episode done over and over and over.
Last Exile 2 is a sequel, but most of the characters are different and is it set on a different planet. There is a few from the first season (Tatiana, Alistair, Vincent, Dio, Alvis), but the rest of the cast is new. I am not that fond of the new main characters, specially Fam is really irritating, but on a whole, it is Last Exile, visually stunning, and the story is getting better and better.
I am currently watching Kimi ni Todoke. I saw an excellent Slice of Life during the summer and it kind of encouraged me to explore the genre a bit more; it actually is quite fun and after so many depressing stuff I have seen, a nice change
What is Angel Beats about?
