If I ever feel my depression or anxiety get too bad I may give either a different depression med or maybe medicinal marijuana a try. The latter is legal here, and easy to get a Rx. Maybe being medicinal, they'll know what to give me.

gosh i love creole/canjun cuisine. there was a creole restaurant around the corner that had the best food in Berlin i swear but they closed down during Covid lockdowns or moved away. i was there at least once a month now i miss it

Speaking of Germany and Louisiana, we used to have a German restaurant that closed down. I hate that a lot mmy favorites go away. My favorite coffeeshop went away too and now it's all PJ's (NOLA chain I find to be meh), Starbucks, 7 Brew (weak ass ****), and the only local places are this one place owned by a rich family that owns half the town and the other seems kinda culty. Like granola Christian or something. Kinda hipster meets Megachurch.
A local DIY music venue at a house called The Spot was killed by Covid. I was kinda hoping they'd come back. -

There is some German in the ethnic makeup in south Louisiana. That might be why. Sometimes Zydeco music reminds me of German folk or polka.
Kind of related; my mom's grandfather was a German immigrant. I think her other family's German heritage goes further back though. She was full German. My dad's side is a mix of Cajun French and German. -

Btw these are the newest neighbors, not the ones I used to hate. They usually don't have loud music, and they recently put it lower. I wouldn't have minded it going on a little later.
I'm gonna hate when they move out unless it's an equally tolerable neighbor. That house gets a lot of turnover. Tenants have been a mixed bag. I niss the cute college girl with the professor boyfriend and the dude from Michigan who always gave us soup mixes he made himself with the veg he grew.
