what's the rationale for this? i try and minimize my amazon purchases just because i disagree with the bullshit cost increases in the free shipping threshold. i also cant stand bezos as a person. he's absolutely brilliant as a business visionary but garbage as a decent guy. -

The boycott against Amazon here in DE is going on for many years.
Mainly because of the poor working conditions, but also because of the flood of trash caused by the convenience of online ordering (wrapping).
And then there's the typical
shark strategy
of such companies.
Combined with tax-saving models that can hardly be distinguished from tax evasion.
Of course, Amazon isn't the only one responsible for the waste flood.
And no, that doesn't make other companies with the same behaviour look any better.

I boycott them 10 months out of the year. The times I need something I get the pr*me membership for the free shipping then cancel. Fucker's packages all go to the post office here instead of home address.

Only by default as I do with all other boycotts since I rarely buy/support corporations.
I did get an A-Z gift card for Xmas and should buy stuff with it soon.
Which means it’s not my $ going to them and they would get it eventually anyway.
In any case I really don’t give a **** to boycott them even though I sorta am but not on purpose.
Thank you for the nudge/reminder to order some things from them soon!
