Unfortunately I can't remember it either, but if it's of any interest, it is supposed to be in Venezuela, but it was actually shot in California, or so I have been told.

I don't believe that the waterfall was ever named in the film. Joe spent most of his role time dealing with the NDE kids, and trying to decipher the waterfall images that Emily had apparently been sending via the kids.
Some of the scenes were filmed in Kauai island, Hawaii; others were filmed elsewhere. Below is a film site which claims that the waterfalls were created by CGI, due to budget constraints.

Well, the town is named Guanajuapaof course, I'm not sure if I've spelled that correctly at all. It's pronounced Gwan-ah-WAH-pa.

Juanajuapa could be the correct spelling.
