I thought Brittany was great in this movie.. did she recieve any awards or anything for her efforts? I believed her character and felt for her.. except for the sudden trust in Nathan.. but she didn't write the script. If she didn't, does anyone agree she should have received something for her performance? She plays a great nut, even if shes just faking it.

Yeah I thought that her performance was excellent. I don't think she did get any recognition for it though. It's annoying though how some people just think she's a young blonde actress like Tara Reid who can only play annoying 2-D ditzy girls. Brittany is actually really talented an can play a lot of different roles.

I know.. although she was great in 8 mile i was very unsure of her characters agenda.. she seemed very confused.

I haven't seen 8 Mile - although I plan to in the next few weeks. I get so mad at myself coz I haven't seen all these movies that I should've!! lol

Her performance was above average but she did not receive any type of awards or acknowledgment for the movie. She was also excellent in Prom Night remake. She is so underrated.

Yeah she wasn't bad. You should check all the awards tabs on IMDb for Brittany and Don't Say A Word to see if she was nominated for anything.

Yeh, and talking of playing loony girls remember she played that one in Girl, Interupted too. She'll stick in my mind as being a mental girl actor for a while as I watched those two film with in a week of eachother.

I have always loved Brittany, it makes me sad to think she died just when she was really making a name for herself, I first saw her in clueless and thought she was the best thing in the movie, Girl Interrupted is still my favourite movie and her part in it really made the whole movie, she has that chilling innocence that people relate to. She gets put in a lot of fluff comedy's like little black book and uptown girls but is barely given enough credit especially for films like this one and The Devil's Arithmetic. I wish we could see more of her, the movies she was filming when she died all look so good, its sad she died in her prime!

Brittany should have gotten a ton more notice for this movie but it came out the week of Sept. 11th so it sort of got lost.

Her work in Freeway is really great too. Her and Reese have some really good interaction. Definitely different then how both are viewed now.

Brittany STOLE the show, throughout this movie. She was incredible!
And no, she did not receive any awards or special recognition for her performance.
She sure should have, though.
