Today I was bored and decided to look through my Netflix. The summery sounded interesting so I decided to watch it. I have no idea if any of my friends have seen this movie lol

I saw it on an HBO free preview weekend from directv when I was like 13. It came on at like 2 am and it scared me to death!! Whenever some one asks me what is the scariest movie I have ever seen I always put this in my top 5!

Me and my friends used to go the video store every friday and rent a random horror flick to watch. That's where I found Session 9 and another gem of awesomness called "The Attic Expeditions". Both are now two of my favorite and most repeatedly viewed movies.

A couple friends and I rented it when it first came out, at the local video store. We all loatheed it. That was back in.. jeez, 2001 I guess. I should watch it again, 10 years later, and see if my opinion has changed at all. I can't believe a movie that I only remember for being boring and unfocused has such a cult kind of status now.

UPDATE: Just watched it. Still boring. Rambles on much too long. But more focused than I recall it being. I do not understand how so many people find it spooky or creepy.

I learned about the movie through youtube, I was watching a video that was called like the top 50 creepiest movie quotes or something like that. The part where its like " I live in the weak and the wounded" was in the video, and i thought that it looked super creepy, so i just had to watch it. It wasnt what i was expecting, I expected something more paranormal because of the shot of the building when he was saying it. Nonetheless I still enjoyed the movie.

i was house/dog sitting for my parents and nothing good was on t.v. so i was flipping channels. ran across "Session 9" on IFC and it's been a favorite ever since. just wish it hadn't been only me and the dogs watching it the first time - that was a little spooky

I just saw this tonight, and LOVED it! I cannot think of another movie that had me as riveted throughout as this one did. And I will definitely be watching it again knowing what I know now.
I stumbled across this movie while looking for other recommended "similar" films on IMDB from another horror movie, but I can't remember which one. I am only glad that I found it, for I had never heard of this movie before. -

My searching was done inside of IMDbase

I wanted to rate Time Crime film, so I checked out the main actor. And while looking at his past in movies, I noticed good title The Nameless, and of course I clicked on it. In the section -People who liked this also liked- I choose the movie Tesis, and in the same section (as mentioned above) was this title Session 9.
I love finding movies in particular ways

I was looking at IMDB for comments on the movie "Sanitarium" and someone commented that a great move taking place at a sanitarium was 'Session 9.'
Sanitarium was not good but then again anything with Lou Diamond Phillips and Malcolm McDowell in it these days should be avoided. So sad as once were both excellent actors.

A bundle of late-night showings on Showtime, way back when they actually aired the cream-of-the-crop of forgotten B-movie horror (and occasional masterpieces like this). Bought it on DVD a few years back and there's always something new detail to find in the film. And that's part of why it's among my all-time favourites.

I actually had heard about Danvers State Mental Hospital before hearing about the movie. I live in California, but we were discussing haunted places and this girl brought up the hospital. About a year or so later, scrolling through Netflix, I decided to watch the movie and then was surprised to see that it was shot at the place that she told me about.
So I came across this movie by accident, but already knew about the real location.
